Our homegrown festival is now in full swing, and in gently darkened cinemas across Aotearoa New Zealand we can sit together and watch films that allow us, however briefly, to immerse ourselves in the lives and experiences of our fellow humans. Films that have been written by humans, produced, directed and filmed by humans. Films with human actors, and animations that have human voices, with “every character, every story and every environment—imagined into life by some of the most imaginative filmmakers in the world”.
So be sure to soak up as much of this filmic goodness as you can over the next few weeks.
