Your name in the spotlight – sponsors sought!

Are you a passionate champion of one of the films on our programme?
Have you ever thought of having your name splashed up on the big screen?
Wellington Film Society can make this happen through sponsorship of one of the films on our programme. A number of films on our 2025 programme have already been made available to our members thanks to the generous support of cultural institutions, community groups and individuals but there are still many sponsorship options.
The Wellington Film Society Committee has agreed to take an ethical approach to our fundraising options. We recognise the harm caused to families and whānau in our communities by gambling addiction. As a result, we have firmly decided not to apply for funding support through Lotteries or other Community Grants organisations which distribute the proceeds collected from gaming machines in pubs, hotels, bars and other venues.
This means that our sponsors are more directly involved with us: people who are passionate about what the Wellington Film Society does, and are keen to show their support to our institution!
Benefits to sponsoring include:
- The feel-good factor of supporting your local film society, and helping it to grow and acquire the best films for the giant Embassy screen!
- Acknowledgement of sponsorship on our website and all of our social media relating to the sponsored film and a shout-out at your sponsored film’s screening, as well as a title card on the Embassy screen before the film.
- We are open to discussing other arrangements – from complimentary passes to special deals offered in partnership with your business.
