Ever dreamed of watching one of the horror genre’s most influential films in a gothic church?
Keep the Halloween spirits alive all week with a very special screening of Brian De Palma’s iconic 1976 film Carrie at Wellington’s Old St Pauls on Saturday 4 November.
Sissy Spacek stars as Carrie White, a pathologically shy, bullied teenager living with her overbearing, hyper-religious mother Margaret (a scene-stealing turn from the late, great Piper Laurie). But Carrie has a secret – and all those mean girls at school will pay…
The film screening will be followed by a live performance from Wellington’s Earth Tongue (Gussie Larkin of Mermaidens and Ezra Simons of Soft Bait).
There will be DJs, stalls from Union Tattoo and Pepper Raccoon, a bar and food stalls, making the Halloween Prom an event not to be missed!
